Aidan Heavey

Aidan Heavey has over 20 years experience working in financial roles in Ireland, London and the Caribbean.  Aidan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 2000 and post qualification, he joined ABN AMRO Investment Bank, as an Associate in the Corporate Finance practice, where he specialized in Telecoms and Technology M&A transactions. In 2002, Aidan joined Digicel as Financial Controller for Jamaica. He was later promoted to CFO for Digicel Aruba before moving to the role of Group Financial Controller in 2005 where he was responsible for all financial management and financial reporting requirements of the Group and played a key role in the consolidation of the company’s business. In 2007 he joined the Group Business Development Team as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, where he was responsible for the assessment of target markets, identifying potential acquisitions along with new license opportunities and new business initiatives in Mobile, Cable and Broadband across the Digicel Group covering the Caribbean, Central America and the South Pacific. In 2014, Aidan was appointed interim Group CFO for Digicel Play responsible for the Financial operations of the existing HFC operations and the development of the new FTTH markets. Since returning to Ireland in 2016, Aidan has worked on a number of short-term corporate finance and interim CFO roles covering a wide range of industries, from Digital media to telecoms and Fintech. Aidan holds a BA in Accounting and Finance and a Masters degree in European Accounting and Finance from University College Cork / ESC Grenoble.
